Welcome to St. Thomas The Apostle Parish

It is with great joy that we greet and welcome you all to our beloved Parish dedicated to St. Thomas the Apostle of Christ.

We are located in Voluntown CT. Our parish lies on the border of the northeastern part of the state of Connecticut and the south end of the state of Rhode Island. Though it is a rural area parish, it has great beauty unique to it's own. There are many waterways and 28,000 acres of state forests for recreation. Visitors can enjoy lodging at several campgrounds, and hometown cooking at several local restaurants.

Voluntown has a land area of 39 square miles and a population of 2598. There is only one Catholic Church, Elementary school, Library, Post Office and volunteer Fire department in town. We are very proud of our parish. While visiting St. Thomas the late Bishop Most Reverend Daniel A. Hart said this Church is "The Diamond in the Diocese of Norwich".

We are proud to have a sister mission Church, St. Anne. St. Anne is located on route 201 in Glasgo Griswold. We celebrate Holy Mass their every Sunday at 7:00 AM.

Friends, though we are small, we are a vibrant community. We are a welcoming and loving community; above all a we are praying faith community. Please come and join us, you are always welcome.
